Critique my drawing please?
I've posted pics on here before that weren't really the style I prefer to draw with (they were more western style drawings) and I got a lot of feedback saying they were good drawings, but disproportional, so I want to post a pic that IS the style I prefer to draw with (Manga/Anime), and see what peoples thoughts were.

theshreddoctor.deviantart.com/art…

I also guess I figured the drawing didn't look Japanese enough with an anime girl in a school uniform, that I had to draw a sushi having a spaz hovering over her shoulder
firstly im going to have to apologize for being brutally honest, but you asked for critique.

It isnt good. proportion is the pain thing. it gradually deteriorating and narrowing as you move down. also there is no foreshortening at all in the piece, making everything look flat and two-dimensional. the subject matter is also poor. i hate to say it, but there are literally billions and billions of images exactly like this floating around the internet.

on the other hand, there are some fairly good aspects. the face is nice and in proportion, if not slightly emotionless. you nailed the shining pinpoints on the eyes, and you succeeded in making fairly naturalistic hands, which is something that is extremely difficult to do. the little sushi man is entertaining, but i cant really figure out what it is.

hope i wasnt too harsh, but i tried to be as honest as possible.
Find an Xbox game from a vague description.?
I played a video game once, and loved it, but it was a rental so I had to return in. By the time I was able to go back to the store, they didn't have it, and for three weeks after, they still didn't have it (stupid Movie Gallery). So I eventually forgot about it. But then I started playing the Fable games, and I was like 'This reminds me of a game I played once'. But I can't remember the name for the life of me. It was a Japanese/Chinese based game. It was similar to Fable in gameplay. It was an RPG, and you got to choose your character, kinda like WoW. I think you could choose to be a magician, a warrior, and something else, and you could also choose your gender. I, naturally, chose a girl. So I started playing and I loved it. The character was at a school, and I think it was destroyed, and so she had to travel to kill some warlord, and along the way she met friends. There was one place that stuck out. I went to a village, and had to play a part in a play, and, me being a girl, it wasn't allowed. I think there was a romance between me and the dude I traveled with, maybe. And the ending was odd. I think it turns out that I was a princess, and I had to choose between good and evil. That scene was at the castle, and it was snowy and grey clouds were everywhere (strange facts stick in my memory. o.O ). Well, hopefully I gave you enough info, cause I'd really like to play that game again.
I think the game you're thinking of is Jade Empire. Good game that.
What mix of stereotypes am i? Kinda short and REALLY EASY!?
My favorite colors are light purple and white. I listen to Aly and AJ, Aqua, Britney Spears, Cascada, Coldplay, the Discovery CD by Daft Punk, Gwen Stefani, Jonas Brothers, Hilary Duff, Meg and Dia, Nickelback, Leona Lewis, Linkin Park, Rihanna, Plain White T's, Paramore, P!nk, Skye Sweetnam, 3 Doors Down, Kylie Minogue, and a lot of Japanese and Korean pop (or whatever comes on the radio).

I shop at JCPenney (for school uniforms only though), Wet Seal, Claire's, Kohl's, Sanrio (Hello Kitty), sometimes Chanel (only their bags and purfeme'), sometimes Juicy Couture (only their bags and purfeme'), and sometimes Coach (the bags and my daily glasses). Even though I wear glasses I'm getting clear contacts soons. I wear T-shirts, sweaters, all types of jeans, huge sunglasses, sometimes skirts, sometimes dresses. But always a designer bag.

I look like this (except with straight hair, bangs, and black-ish eyes):

My hobbies are a lot of singing/listening to music on my Ipod, cooking, mostly reading, watching movies, shopping, and going to/throwing parties/sleepovers on Fridays and Saturdays.
Hmm...you sound kind of like me...KIND OF.
I guess you would be a prep but not like cheerleader prep only like a little but not too little or else you would be just normal. So like on a scale of 1 to 10 of preppiness i would say a 6.

Happy Holidays!
Crap! I forget an anime title.?
Okay so...about the anime.
There are a group of friends.
Two boys two girls.
One of the boys is Jocky...but he isn't very big on this case.
One of the boys is basicly the main character.
One girl has purple hair, and she is very outgoing and she has a friend who has like orangish hair with two braids on the side with a purple? bow in each braid. Purple haired chick brings orange haired chick into the group because she has a crush on the main character dude. So later when the orange hair chick asks main guy out on a hill during a sunset? he says yes and they start going out. One day when main guy is off to go on a date with orange chick purple chick stops him and makes him buy her a bracelet? so then when he does he runs off to the date and finds cop cars around it and crime scene and blood and an ambulence. His girlfriend ( orange chick) goes to the hostpital and goes into a coma for 2 years? and while the coma is happening she misses highschool and main and purple start to go out and when they are out of school , orange wakes up and still thinks she is going out with main. ( She grows long hair..)
Okay the girl with orange hair is named haruka
i think the english name is like for which you hope something...but i want to japanese name most becaude i remember it that way
Okay so here I will try to find pictures....

Sarah!
Does anyone think this Asian 'gothic lolita' style is cute?
It's a style very popular in Japan...... girls where cute lace dresses, frills, lace, girly stuff, dressing cute as possible from head to toe, of course with a lot of black and gothness thrown in.

here are some pictures :

normal lolita :

now, i mean of course you wouldn't wear this in public!! i would maybe wear everything here except just different dress that isn't too...extreme. i am Japanese and i wear similar clothes and accessories to these to school and i get a lot of compliments. it only looks good on the right kinds of girls and not make them look like 12 year olds.

i think this goth style is much better than America's gothic style..... Goths in America wear long chains, a bunch of eyeliners, and they're just scary looking!

so what do you think of it?
I LOVE gothic lolita style ;)
Its gothic but it makes u look cute and girly...
And I apsolutely agree with u <3
but dont ask me, cause I love Japan and anime, and its sooo anime look 2... :)

Although the fashion is known now thanks to the internet, it's not exactly popular in Japan - you'll be surprised to hear that there are people over there who dress "normally" or in other street fashions that don't think too kindly about lolitas or are not sure what's the big deal about the clothes. Also, what you're trying to describe in your first paragraph is gothic lolita, a style of the overall fashion, lolita. There are other styles such as sweet and classic (sweet is very popular these days, but gothic lolita isn't dying out), as well as popular themes such as hime-lolita ("princess"), sailor lolita, and guro (gory) lolita. Just because the fashion originated from Japan, doesn't mean that it's "Asian gothic lolita" - there are lolita communities all over the world that embrace the fashion; even if they're Caucasian or Hispanic, I find to them to be as beautiful and creative as our Japanese counterparts (btw, I'm not Japanese; I'm Laotian-American, but I still love and rock out the fashion when I get the chance to).

Please keep in mind that even in Japan, there are gothic subcultures that also involves people wearing chains and lots of eyeliner. I don't think that there's such thing as an "American Gothic" style since goth and it's many catagories (such as romantic goth, cyber goth, and steampunk) is worn in many places around the world - and I've seen many elegant and admirable examples of Western Goth. . . not every goth wears baggy Tripp pants, black nails, and chains. When you're getting into fashion, it helps to keep an open mind.

I don't meant to be rude or anything, but I hope that you don't mind me commenting about your photo selections:

1+2) Aw. I miss Nana Kitade. That album is only a few years old, but lolita fashion has highly evolved and branched out in styles since Nana decided to go from punk to lolita (yes, she's been around for a while. Her voice style has kinda changed too :/ ). She still models for Kera and probably the Gothic and Lolita Bible today, so you'll probably see a huge change from the mini top hats that were once "in", to the more frequently worn and versatile headbow.

3) I remember this photo shoot and it still remains my favorite. Please try not to steal photos in the near future or at least credit the source. This is a photo shoot done by a few of the many Singaporean lolitas (probably from the store "Black Alice").

4) Well, the girl is a cutie-pie, but it's not a very accurate representation of lolita in general. Lolita, regardless of the style, has a few set and basic standards. First of all, the skirt of her dress is too short. Skirts are generally supposed to be around knee length (I know that Angelic Pretty is raising the hemlines lately, but even this is too short! Remember all that talk about lolita being modest?).Also, she's missing a petticoat. A petticoat is what makes the skirt poofy and take shape, it is the "soul" of a lolita outfit, if you will. It's a little hard to tell in this photo, but in the future, when you're purchasing your own outfits, be sure to keep a look out on quality If the lace feels hard, plastic like, and itchy, chances are that it's made of poor quality. Lolita is meant to be worn pretty often and so if the materials are cheap, it'll fall apart. Find lace that feels soft, such as cluny and eyelet. Not every lolita outfit has lace and not everything with lace automatically makes it lolita.

5) Again, this photo is pretty old, and I don't think there's such style as "normal lolita". Nana is wearing sweet lolita in this photo (and it looks like she's mostly wearing items from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright), although, now that I realized it, I wonder why she wore a black hat when the rest of her outfit is pink and white. O3O

Since you're wondering what I think about lolita...as a lolita, I am a huge fan of the fashion and the people who wear it (like I said earlier: there are communities all over the world! Check out the egl community on livejournal when you get the chance to). But there are times when I'll admit to myself that in spite of being and feeling cute all over, it's totally impractical (have you ever tried using the public toilet, driving, or going through a turnstill in a ruffled and petticoated skirt that's almost 2 feet in diameter?! Man, it's tough to be a girl sometimes xD).

I wore gothic/kuro lolita and classic almost all of last year and it gets a little tiring to wear mostly black or muted colors, so now I'm leaning towards sweet lolita (minus the teddy-bear-in-pajamas-eating sweets printed items that seem to be so popular these days, lol). And although I'm taking a break from black (except when I go to work), I find gothic lolita a beautiful style.

Yes, I am very aware of the Lolita style. I would choose gothic

edit: This question made me realise how gothic my picture looks to any person who doesn't know that I am lebanese (meaning they know that lebanese girls can have light skin with black hair and without looking emo/goth) ahhhh =|
