| A Muslim is not allowed to consume alcohol at all. In Malaysia, it's against the law. But Muslims do still drink in the country. This muslim model, she is just being victimized. If you have been to Malaysia, it is a country where bribery happens all the time. If you are caught for any reason, you get easy get thru it by money. It's very corrupted and i think the main problem isn't with the muslim model at all. IT IS WHY SHE IS THE ONLY ONE PUNISHED WHEN THERE ARE ALOT OF MUSLIMS DRINKING OUT THERE? | What do you think of this plot for a novel? Okay, so I'm thinking about two novels which aren't related to each other. And I have two ideas. I really need help elaborating on them though, especially the second one to give it more 'edge.' (JUST FOR INSPIRATION.) So while telling me what you think about them, please say something about that as well ^^. Plot #1 An Atheist girl, Sam, is forced by her parents to attend St. Elizabeth's Catholic school because of her laziness and rebellion they thinking it will change her. However, when she gets there she finds out that it isn't so innocent and that a lot of the people there are slutty. She meets three girls who all think public school guys are sex obsessed and know everything like it shows falsely in the movies and on TV. They find the new girl interesting and quickly befriend her, wanting a change of some sort. One of the girls named Rosie, the mischievous one, is going out with a boy who goes to the public school across the street and is willing to do whatever he wants in order to fit in. The other girl, Grace, is the naive one who is abused at home yet is super religious although she hates it and wishes to rebel against it yet is too afraid to go against her parents hypocritical religious views. Miranda, the 'queen bee' is the most popular girl at St. Elizabeth and is very fun-loving, slightly wild and is boy crazy. Sam is thrust into this group unwillingly but tries to ignore it. She wants to be liked, but not the center of attention. Natty and Christian are her only two real friends who create a plot to bust these girls in their less-than-innocent acts. A romance kindles between Sam and Christian. Plot #2 Melissa is a 19 year old girl working at the grocery store. She meets this strange but gorgeous British man there – 18 years old - when he comes to the store everyday and flirts with her. He walks with a cane for a reason he always obliques when it comes up. They get to know each other very well and although he gives off a creepy vibe because of his shy and mysterious demur, she shrugs it off as nothing. After her boyfriend breaks up with her she tells the man about her ex-boyfriend and how she wishes he would die (not meaning it, of course.) However, when her boyfriend is murdered the very night she becomes suspicious. Thank you =)! - OCD. |

| Ramadan- [Girl question] seriously i'd rather only have girls answer? When it's that time of month, are you allowed to eat in public? My mom said you're not allowed to eat or drink in public even if your not allowed to fast because in Malaysia she said (that's where she's from) they (depending on what state it is) take you around in a big truck that's labeled "people who are not fasting" or something. | As a pious Muslima, your period is your own personal business. If you are not obviously pregnant, or sick, out of respect for yourself, your body functions, and the other Muslims around you, it is proper to do your best to eat privately. I can't fast due to low blood sugar, but throughout the whole month of Ramadan, I try to eat and drink in private, so that I don't disrespect the other Muslims around me who can't eat or drink, and also don't bring attention to myself and incite back biting from those who are frustrated and hungry from their fasts. Even in my car, if I want to take a drink, I look around to see if there are other Muslims in the cars around me, At a friend's for Iftar, I do not eat or drink before the rest, out of respect for them. | How do you remember corporal punishment from your school days? ? I am one of those middle aged adults and parents who are appalled by the abysmally bad behaviour of most guyren in our public schools today. Many of us then end up calling for a return of corporal punishmnt in our schools today. But hold your horses! Do you truly remember what it was like? Speaking for myself, during the 1970s when I was 12, I was attending a Catholic school in Kingston, Jamaica, and I had a class teacher named Sister Marie Chen. In the mornings when we arrived at school early, there would be a lot of noise from the conversations among us, but as we spotted Sister Chen coming, the class would abruptly become dead silent. After Sister Chen took roll call, she had us march out to the auditorium for our morning devotion. Upon our return from devotion class would begin. Then Sister Chen would ask us to turn in the homework which she had set for us the day before. Woe betide those who didn't turn in theirs. Sister Chen had a strap and cane in the drawer of her desk which she kept locked when she was not in the classroom. She used the strap to whip you across your back or on your legs, and the cane for all other uses. I got the strap across the back on many occasions, all painful. You were also punished if you came to class late without a valid excuse, did not bring gym clothes on Fridays, cheated, brought comic books to class, talked in class, and for many other infractions. Sister Chen would cane you on your hands at times and you would hear the cane slicing the air as it came down bringing pain to wherever it landed. She also reserved the cane for use on those with salient body features. There was a plump girl who had a very large deriere. Sister Chen caned her exclusively across her buttocks until she could not sit down. Meanwhile, there were two fat students, a boy and a girl, with very big bellies. | As much as we all hated corporal punishment, it did make guys behave. However, most of the guys that behaved and excelled at school were not given corporal punishment. The discipline must have come from home as my and my siblings did. We knew up front, from out parents, that we would behave and do our work and not disrupt the educational process. I don't even remember being told what would happen, I just KNEW what would happen. Today's parents don't use any discipline at home, they expect the school to be the teachers and the parents. No one at home takes responsibility and these young people grow up expecting to do what they want to without any restraints. Parents have to stop taking drugs, stop being self centered, start being AT HOME, start being consistent, and start being responsible and mature, then their guyren will have someone to emulate. |

You know you go to a girls school when... -You often hitch up your skirt in public to adjust your tights, and think thats completely fine even though you have french knickers on or period pants! -You often find yourself in a deep, public discussion on the ever popular "tampons or pads" debate -You either went 2 ways: you didn't meet your first boy till you were 18 and are still terrified, OR you met your first boy at 12 and have been in a series of sexually active relationships since -You share everything with your friends: deodorant, sanitary items, hairbrushes, makeup, lipgloss, etc. -You have no issues with adjusting eachothers bras, comparing bras, talking about bras, etc -You know when your closest friends are due for 'that time of the month' (only because thats when you're due too) -You are completely comfortable with emotional intensity -You can talk about waxing, fake tan, shaving, in the same sentence as essays, world affairs, etc -You can adjust at a rapid rate from loving someone to hating them, and visversa generally followed by stories about what they did at a party. -Most of your friends carry lipgloss/hand sanitizer -You can often spend the first 10 minutes of a class discussing someones new hair colour/cut WITH your teacher -You have your male teachers wrapped around your finger -You always got out of P.E/swimming because of "girl issues" -You can tell someones wellbeing/stress levels/emotional status/hours of sleep from: what makeup they're wearing (if any), hairdo, perfume/no perfume etc -You know each of your friends perfumes by heart and often spend time 'sniffing' eachother jumpers and commenting -You are familiar with the smell of smoke mixed with chanel perfume -You know crying and claiming to 'be overwhelmed' can get you out of anything, anywhere, anytime. -You always told others you wished you went to a co-ed school, but secretly knew you wouldn't last a day -On a bad day you will spend over $6 at the canteen on fried goods and chocolate -You have numerous occasions found yourself yelling down the jam-packed corridor "HAS ANYONE GOT A PAD???" -You're always talking. Through class, lunchtime, lectures, meetings, assembly. Nothing stops you. And you very rarely get told off for it. Its a womens intuition. -When told to 'stop talking' by male staff, you have on more than one occasion replied with "but we're women, sir! we can mulit-task!" -You often see girls giving other girls back tickles, massages (back, leg, arm, anything) and instead of judging say "o0o0o me next!" -You either love fake tan, or can't stand it. -You know who fake tans, who goes to the solarium, whos 'a la natural', and who's naturally tanned (you then proceed to hate this person) -Injections/immunisations are followed by: tears, fainting, group illnesses, etc. -It is completely normal to have an indepth open conversation about any bodily function issues with your friends, over coffee -"going for coffee" is a weekly ritual -You notice when someone has straightened, washed, curled their hair, which often leads to a discussion on how they too, can achieve that look -Before opting for summer uniform, you know you must shave, moisturize and tan first. Or if you don't , you must make a big deal in announcing "OMG guys my legs are sooooo hairy, I haven't shaved in forever", which then launches a group discussion in who hasn't shaved their legs the longest, hence taking the spotlight off your feral legs -You say to any of the random students around you 'my uterus is caning like a mofo today' and instead of being disgusted, they nod sympathetically and offer you nurofen. -there is at least one person in each year level that has a sport jacket or jumper from a boys school and wears it round like it's an olympic gold medal and they're soo much cooler than everyone else. -you know you go to an all girls school when the biggest and best kept secret ever takes all of the first 5 minutes of recess to spread around a whole year level, and the rest of recess for the whole school to know. When you all change for PE in the corridor (walking to the change rooms takes too long) until they ban it because it "makes the male teaches feel uncomfortable" -You know, despite your best efforts of denial, that you went through at least a 2year phase of an EXTREMELY huge bags and greasy hair with no bra. -Now that you are mature that when you see the new year 7's and 8's with THEIR greasy hair, no bra and huge backpack....you mock, judge, and stare in disgust. -You have owned, trashed, and loved at least ONE gola bag.
